The easy solution isn’t the best one, but Canada is run by Daddy Government, and the federal government did a fantastic job of keeping its citizens dependent as it steps in every cow flap in the field. It cultivates dependence and easy solutions, and that worked so long as their main source of income was emotionally and mentally stable.

But if a regime wishes to cut off its nose to spite its face, then all bets are off.

You can’t control outsiders like you control your docile press and populace.

Tit for tat counter-tariffs did not stop the problem then. I won’t stop it now.

Move fast and break things still works. Mark Carney may have manufactured goodwill from the press and the public, but that happens so long as the status quo can be sustained, and it can’t be. Unless a different scaffolding is used, things can only go downhill from here, and that may not be a bad thing.

It is about time Canada learned not to be use a single method of “social cohesion” and not to put its eggs in one basket. If Canada diversified its trade portfolio, the World President in United States history would not have sseen an opening to use his wife beater logic.

He would have looked for an easier target.

I don’t expect much from the Liberal regime. But I also expect much from the opposition parties, either.

This is not about political affilliation. It is about the way this country is run.

And it needs a serious overhaul before anything can move past an incompetent president in panic mode.
