The president of the Victor Orbán fan club thinks he is clever.

It is like thinking you are going to stop a tsunami by plucking out a few drops of the ocean.

But censorship is fascism, and it is not a very effect way of running a country. Some of greatest revolutions happened in the most docile and oppressed of nations.

You know just how rotten a government is when they try to misapply pseudo-moral reasons to fascist gambits.

If you had an ounce of morals, you wouldn’t be a politician. You would be doing something useful.

Canada will not recover from what Trump did with tariffs. The EU may be making overtures, but they are hardly able to make up the slack. They are economically weaker, geographically further away, and they have their own headaches. Canada would have the least say in matters, and would be expected to send a lot of money it doesn’t have to be in any clubhouse.

The Liberals seem to think they have a gift for holding on to power the same way a grifter thinks a Ponzi scheme will work forever. Sooner or later, when things fall, they fall big, and there is no path to recovery or image rehabilitation.

And with this bill, the Grits have planted the seeds of their downfall.
