Bill Gates, Professional Meddler

,

Jeffrey Epstein pal Bill Gates wades in with an opinion and the New York Times acts as his stenographer.

Or perhaps he is their proxy as the Times is at war with AI.

The problem with billionaires they mistake dumb luck with having the license to issue royal decrees to make themselves sound important.

Bill, you made your fortune, and lived your life. The world can survive without you. You have LinkedIn, you can opine through there. The New York Times may have forgotten it’s suppose to deliver news, not decrees.

The Times should know better as their track record of giving the wrong people a platform is well known.

News outlets should get out of this “appeal to (pseudo) authority” racket once and for all. It’s not interesting or informative, especially when the message is self-serving, fear-mongering, and just plain ignorant.
