This is utterly vile.

Let’s quote this for the record from Blacklock’s Reporter:

Parliament spends more than $14 billion a year on Old Age Security for pensioners with household incomes over $60,000, records show. A federally-funded research group has petitioned cabinet to tighten income testing for seniors: “It’s appropriate to ask retirees with six-figure incomes to accept fewer taxpayer dollars.”

Excuse me? Pensioners spent decades paying taxes. That is their money. They are owed that money and it doesn’t matter how much they make. They need it more than any other group and they paid the most into the kitty. End of story.

This is the same repulsive regime that punishes seniors who work by clawing their pensions and taxing them.

Seniors don’t work because they want to work. It is because the cost of living has gotten out of control and they have fight for every penny.

And what’s $60 000 in Canada these days? You can’t exist. Seniors often bail out their children and grandchildren through reverse mortgages. Their medical expenses are increasing. Gas, utilities, rents, and food, all basics, are out of sync with what a pension can cover.

It’s robbery, plain and simple, and this is a government that prays no one notices they are the kind of people who’d push granny to the ground and steal her wallet.

If seniors in Canada were smart, they should sell their houses, move overseas and pull their money of out the country. It’s the only language this hot mess of a regime understands.
