Farmers and truckers drive the economy. Diesel prices have become unreasonable, but the federal government won’t give a tax holiday to either group, never mind that prices go up on everything as a result, and people can buy less.

The price hikes make people travel less, buy less, lose jobs, and then it costs the economy more.

But the feds are short-sighted and are used to a certain lifestyle, and they won’t give people they see as beneath them a break. Well played.
