Here we go again.

AI Doomers have been calling an AI bubble since 2022. It is now 2026.

They quote a few economists, who aren’t very good at predicting things. That’s appeal to authority.

Every industry has its ups and downs. AI will be no different, but the problem with publications such as Futurism is their blatant AI illiteracy: they act as if it is 2022 and AI is just about text and image generation.

Anyone who knows anything about AI knows the umbrella term is a huge disservice. AI is integral to STEM-based industries, and there is no “bubble” there. AI is now essential to corporations as it finds efficiencies people cannot, and can do deep research, breaking down data silos and finding hidden problems. There is growth in this era and any idea of “bubble” is laughable. New partnerships with AI companies are happening every day.

Not all AI companies are doing equally well, which is normal, not a sign of a “bubble.” More jobs have been created with AI than has been lost, but AI Doomers cannot handle reality. They are petty enough to want a new technology to fail because they don’t understand it and their narcissism prevents them from taking AI literacy courses because they honestly believe they are too intelligent to have to learn anything and they can figure out everything for themselves.

AI is not a search engine or social media. It doesn’t run on a passive vending machine model of thinking. People who understand this fact will do very well with AI. The rest will be left behind.

And no amount of wishing thinking-laced propaganda is going to change that reality.
