Why do Donald Trump and Mark Carney Want Their Citizens to be Poor? A Look at Manufactured Poverty.

,

Journalists and “Ditz Leaders” on LinkedIn talk about inflation, but they don’t bother to look at something more troubling: manufactured poverty.

If inflation were a real problem and if the war in Iran were a real problem, then, of course, we’d expect to see profits plunging, and CEO salaries and bonuses being cut or capped.

Except the opposite is happening: profits are going up, up, up, and C-Suite are getting richer and richer.

You can’t have both.

So, if companies are raking it in, then why are we paying more and getting less?

Because we’re pigeons being fleeced by conmen. The end.

Donald Trump, for instance, is drowning in the polls because of it, and yet, he won’t use that magical “executive order” to do something about it.

Because he doesn’t care about middle-class people or the middle-class economy. He looks down on the blue collar suckers he snookered into voting for him. He cares only for the billionaire economy, which he moves heaven and Earth to prop up.

He thinks throwing pennies at people who are getting second mortgages on their home and maxing out their credit cards will get them to vote for him.

That only makes the rage grow deeper. $90 won’t even cover groceries. It won’t cover filling a gas tank.

This is how little he thinks about anyone who is not a billionaire.

But Mark Carney is in the same boat.

He knows Canadians are being hosed and are being over-charged, even with tariffs. If companies are profitable and are more profitable than they were a year ago, then something is seriously wrong with their narrative and their actions.

Yet we don’t see the federal government, who live to meddle in every aspect of life, lift a finger to say, “Enough gouging. Enough giving the C-Suite yet another raise.”

They are, however, all willing to curb workers’ right to strike and regulate the Internet as they allow themselves to destroy their records and release even less information to taxpayers who foot the bill.

Which has zero to do with the economy.

None of these measures are meant to help Canadians. These are ways the Liberal government can try to prevent getting voted out of office.

It’s pathological, and worse, short-sighted.

So why the propaganda about how people have to sacrifice and suffer?

A scared electorate is seen as a compliant one. That’s why poverty is being actively manufactured.

Except it always backfires, as Donald Trump is finding out the hard way.

People are living precariously trying to keep up appearances, instead of directly writing to politicians and CEOs and saying, “I see you. I see your salary and bottom line. Enough. Do it again and we’ll boycott you, sue you, and change the laws to cut you off at the knees.”

The scam only works if you are willing to dig yourself in a hole. If you say, “No, you don’t get another penny from me,” the game ends.
