Alexandra Kitty is an award-winning author, artist, educator, researcher, and scholar whose work spans true crime, media criticism, journalism, history, and cultural analysis. She is the author of 21 books, and her writing has appeared in Presstime, Quill, Current, Editor & Publisher, Elle Canada, Maisonneuve, Critical Review, Thorn Literary, Exterminating Angel, and Skeptic.

She has worked as a columnist, educator, and researcher, including newspaper column work for the Hamilton Spectator and the Victoria Times-Colonist, and research work connected to A Time to Kill. Across books, essays, and investigative work, her focus remains the same: narrative, evidence, power, and the stories people would rather leave buried.

Alexandra is also the first female recipient of McMaster University’s Arch Award. Her work brings together reporting, scholarship, criticism, and creative experimentation, with a particular interest in how institutions shape what people are told to believe.
