Nepo-baby David Ellison is no match for Lesley Stahl. This is the same woman who outscooped Judy Woodruff at the White House: Judy Woodruff thought she was taping an NBC exclusive on the White House lawn about President Jimmy Carter nominating judge Shirley Hufstedler as secretary of education; Lesley Stahl, standing within earshot, treated it as open source, phoning CBS so they could blast it out on radio before Woodruff\u2019s piece ran. Her later defence, that Woodruff should have asked her to leave, says as much about the competitive culture of the beat as it does about Stahl\u2019s own instincts. Her newsroom larceny is the stuff of legends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also didn’t hurt that she hired a shrewd agent from CAA immediately after the Pelley Affair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CBS’s fortunes have been tanking since the Ellison himbos took over, and without 60 Minutes, the value of the network plummets to oblivion. This was Bari Weiss’s fatal flaw: she’s a blogger and the Internet is ethereal and disposal; so it is not into her cognitive scaffolding to understand legacy logic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But someone hired this pantywaist, and that someone also didn’t understand the difference. They just thought this whole journalism thingy was one big blob.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I guess that’s why someone on Team Himbo has been running to the Daily Mail to slag Scott Pelley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memo to Team Himbo: that’s not<\/em> an equivalent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
