Executives who still hand\u2011write passwords are promising to \u201ctransform the business with machine learning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Welcome to the golden age of bluffing: an entire tech\u2011culture tier talking confidently about systems they have never actually interrogated, and can\u2019t, because they don\u2019t know what they don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Here is your field guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-the-glossary-parrot\">1. The Glossary Parrot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Signature move:<\/strong>&nbsp;recites three or four terms like a spell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">You\u2019ve met this one. They are allergic to nouns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Tells:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Every challenge is brushed off as \u201cedge cases\u201d or \u201cimplementation details.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">They never admit uncertainty. All timelines are \u201cinevitable\u201d and \u201csooner than people think.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The moment you ask, \u201cOkay, what goes wrong?\u201d they accuse you of being a Luddite or of \u201cnot getting it.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">This is the classic tech\u2011culture bluff: wrap your ignorance in optimism and bully people with tone. They\u2019ve discovered a real skill, communicating with models, and immediately flattened it into content marketing, never bothering to understand the underlying mechanics.
