Entertainment Weekly reduces frequency...for now.

Communications collapsed, and Entertainment Weekly becomes a monthly.

The days where print held the centre of gravity is done. It did not translate to the Internet because any amateur can weigh in, without knowledge, facts, or expertise, let alone mastery.

It is interesting to see how many former publications will follow suit this year, but more are coming…

Oppressing freedom of speech, Canada-style.

Never let the government dictate how to think.

I believe in freedom of expression, even for vile trolls. I want to know what people think so that I am prepared and that scum aren’t swept under the rug.

But the Canadian federal regime wants a “digital charter” — Pierre Trudeau codified human rights with his charter, while his son Justin takes them away with his.

This is the equivalent of forbidding danger signs near cliffs and landmines. Censorship is tantamount to propaganda by omission: if we erase all those inconvenient rage puking of sickos, then people think things are safe and good, and they are neither.

But we have a cowardly government that is too lazy and stupid to march right into the eye of the storm and confront reality.

This “charter” helps no one but those who want to hide messes and then proclaim there isn’t anything bad happening…
