Why do we have snowflakes throw fits at universities? Simple: they aren't offended. They are just conning you.

I don’t just write books. I teach, and have taught in various venues for years. One thing I learned very early on was that there are students and their parents who will play every dirty trick in the book to get an A with no effort. They are the ones who are perpetually offended. They thump their chests and make big threats. Don’t give in, and make them prove their intellectual mettle, and they always crumble because the scam hinges on the pigeon professor getting afraid and caving in.

I never did. I knew how scams worked and if I had to study to earn my creds, then so did they. No exceptions. No meddling mommies to lobby, whine, or bluster to getting their brats something that they did not earn. You cannot enable kids just so you can brag to your fake friends how gifted and genius they were. Let them study, practice, and work.

So what you have are parents you bully teachers and wear them down, making Big Threats if Billy doesn’t get an A on a failing paper his parents wrote (yes, we teachers can tell), and then you have students with diluted knowledge and big egos think they can bypass the system. Lori Loughlin bribed her airheaded daughters into university, and she is hardly the only one. It is always a scam.

And the faux righteous offendedness is just a mere misdirection: put the heat on the university so they are too afraid to kick you to the curb. I remember when I was an undergrad at Mac, someone I knew went there in their first year and failed seven out of eight courses. The dean told this person that they were not smart enough to go there.

Back then when universities still had merit and didn’t water down things not to be seen as politically incorrect.

Just grow a pair of ovaries, and call them on their bluff.

There are enough YouTube videos showing just how stupid university students are — they don’t know what language British people speak. They cannot do math — a skill that builds logic and is an absolute essential — and then skip the math and then still want to pretend they have intelligence.

No knowledge. No skill. No respect for those who do. You have manufactured grifters who think offence is the best defence.

Sorry, suckers, it is among the worst: do it too many times and people can figure out that you are bluffing because if they took a look at you, they’d see an empty-head trying to pass as a genius.

But universities often have people on their roster who are just as shaky with their knowledge, so they cannot push back and risk being exposed as charlatans. They have to keep quality out, and enable their fellow scammers.

If you had to earn that degree the hard way, there is no way in hell that you are going to give in to a temper tantrum or threats.

Which leads to this knee-slapper column in the National Post that doesn’t quite seem to get it.

People like Camille Paglia are actually highly and solidly smart. She is the real deal. The scumbags trying to remove her are not doing it for moral reasons: that’s an old ruse.

These simpletons have memorized one or two things and do not want to reveal the extent of their ignorance and now inability to learn: they could never compete with Paglia — so have her removed and the contrast is no longer glaring. They have memorized a script by rote means and do not want to have to learn anything new.

Especially not something that proves their shitty theory to be hopelessly wrong.

The problem with the Youth Grifter Movement is that sooner or later, one of two things happen: they try to oust a street smart person who can outfox them, such as Jordan Peterson. His theories aren’t all that, but he is cunning enough to read his marks and play them for fools. The Youth Grifters handed him his fame on a silver platter because he knew how to play them. They are not smart, let alone experienced. Peterson is a psychologist by trade, and he managed to exploit his detractors for a mainstream career and book deals — things his haters will never accomplish because they are neither intelligent nor original. He wiped the floor with their faces, and laughs all the way to the bank.

Then you have people such as Paglia who actually has a serious body of work and made it despite a slew of bigotry serving as barriers. She is tough as she is smart. She can handle these nobodies who are empty shells. She has substance, and she can eat these twits for breakfast.

So what you are beginning to see is a backlash against the moral masturbators who try to deflect criticism by pretending to be moral, just like the Catholic priests did when people started wondering if the clergy were diddling with their kids. The gambit works so far because this is a mob with little substance.

And it is the reason universities will either have to develop a backbone and call out these poseurs for who they really are — or they continue to give in and then an alternative to universities will replace them. There has already been talk for the last few years.

When everyone thinks alike, no one thinks very much. Those were the words from another smart person Walter Lippmann. When people don’t think and are too lazy to do so, they throw fits, hoping people go on the defensive and back down. You hit back much harder. You expose the grifters for who they really are — and then you go after their enablers twice as hard and make them accountable for their con games.

The University of Alexandra Kitty would be a place somewhere far away in nature with no contact with the outside world for two years — and then the next two years, you’d be having your classes in the streets, walking among your fellow man in the boardroom and homeless shelters. There would be no rest. There would be no time to think up excuses or be offended.

You’d have to justify why you alone didn’t stop the greed in the boardrooms or why you didn’t do anything but walk over the homeless when you were staring at your godphone with earphones on making Corporate America rich. You’d be in trouble for faking wanting socialism. You’d learn to be a genuine human being with emotional intelligence who could stand alone.

We have a shameful generation on cons who are just a bunch of loud-mouthed schnooks. Nothing more.

And it is a needless waste of a generation who never understood the reasons why you sit back and learn before you make lofty decrees and try to disguise self-interest lobbying as wokeness. It’s not. You are just trying to rig the board so that you can frighten people up the food chain into giving you a piece of the pie you never earned — too bad there isn’t any pie left for you — those who made it already had their share, and there are crumbs left.

You have to go make your own pie with your own knowledge and labor, just like every generation before you did.

Imagine that.

Your games won’t work on those who had to earn their keep. They have respect for themselves and their knowledge.

And lies cannot stand up to the Truth…

And then everyone got fired...

The New Orleans Times-Picayune was bought by a rival paper that promptly gave the lot their walking papers.

Not surprising, and no amount of self-aggrandizing or Trump-bashing is going to turn journalism’s fortunes around. It is out of sync with reality, and that’s what happens when you don’t know what’s going on around you…

Watching the Federal Liberal Implosion...

That Prince Edward Island went to the Tories and the Greens in the provincial election is truly stunning.

By the time the federal election comes, it will be a full scale slaughter: when you can do no wrong, no scandal touches you, but when you can do no right, everything will be an excuse to dethrone you.

The last-minute clean-up detail is a real knee-slapper. Canada is taking back their garbage because the President of the Philippines literally had to threaten to declare war to get action.

And now that Bill Blair ignore a constituent who is now going run against him in the next election, he has come up with a grand and glorious bullshit story that makes no sense.

You didn’t see the email because it went to spam? Really?

As someone who had to look after a severely disabled relative, I can say you get ignored by politicians of all affiliations and levels when you call or write. They figure you’ll be too sick or busy to go and vote, so screw you. Blair just didn’t think it would come back and bite him.

The smarmy ways of the Grits has now reached a peculiar tipping point, but everything began to backfire once Justin Trudeau went on his vanity junket in India. He was supposed to be what Canadians thought was “cool”, not embarrassing. Not dad-wore-pale-blue-socks-with-sandals-and-plaid-polyester-brown-pants-at-my-wedding humiliating. It broke the spell. He is just like your dad, or uncle, or husband who does dumbass things in public and you want to smash objects against your head.

It went downhill from there.

There will be more crap coming out in the open in the next few months — more cringeworthy crap because the talent who made the Grits look good in front of the little people are abandoning ship. Without the layer of protection, the gaudy truth comes out.

And we haven’t even begun…

Deja vu...all over again...

Writing about propaganda was a very interesting experience.

I won’t say anything about the book because there is a tendency for unattributed intellectual appropriation if I do.

Suffice to say, the decades of research I amassed came in handy.

Which makes me wonder — aside from the public relations firms — who did those jokers rip off back then?

The book is not as massive as my usual nonfiction work tends to be, even if the reference section is still, massive.

While the trolls in the dead profession never changed or evolved and managed to kill their own profession, Alexandra Kitty most certainly did, but then again, I am not a thought thief, so as I don’t follow scripts, I could naturally grow and improve.

My last name may be Kitty, but I am no copycat.

I am looking forward to 2020!

Yes, I am back...

But journalism isn’t.

News is dead.

Cable news is in a free-fall.

Newspapers have been cut down by a fifth since the early Aughts.

But they welcome press releases!

But then you have people who pretend they discovered something that I have been writing about for years.

Memo to Jeff Jarvis: I have been writing about the trouble with narratives in journalism for years. Why have you not given me proper attribution?

I went over it in my last book.

And on this website.

And in my first book that came out in 2005.

Do you want to know why journalism collapsed?

Because it has been choked to death by assholes. The end.

That is why I will keep working hard to do what I do best…

Mk2_mug_friendship2.jpg

We have no journalists...only propagandists pretending to be journalists. And a global humbling is fast approaching...

Remember when journalists were lying to you and told you how WikiLeaks were Russian agents?

If you have forgotten because you have Middle Class Selective Amnesia Syndrome, I have taken the liberty of giving you screenshots of the liars and what they puked in 2016.

And now all of a sudden, when journalists thought they could ride on Julian Assange’s coattails and lie once again how they are just like him, and how great WikiLeaks is, they are trying any and all propaganda to save their worthless selves because their incestuous narcissistic award-giving to themselves isn’t doing a thing, either.

Too late. Your word is garbage and so are you. You are now desperately trying to spin the Mueller report, flat-out making up stuff as you spin and distort, but you are nothing but propagandists for lazy Democrats who have absolutely no platform or plan to have one and are using that report as a misdirection so people do not see how they just want money and power by being leeches on the taxpayer’s dime as they try to convince those same taxpayers that they would be destitute without their meddling. They are grifters and scam artists who are threatening women with rape and forced baby-producing by proxy via the brutish Right if they don’t behave and vote for them.

Here is an idea: I don’t vote for either of you losers. You’re all scum. Don’t you dare threaten me with war propaganda.

Journalism keeps getting more shrill and pathetic, but I guess the stench of a rotten corpse is rancid to begin with. The martyrdom narrative is pure bullshit. They are still losing their jobs in droves. For a reason. When you lie, you don’t deserve to be employed. Fuck you.

We are risking our lives for you narrative is bullshit. Memo to journalists: reporting on Mortal Kombat 11 isn’t actually dangerous.

Trump was exonerated, and we still have people who see it and are exasperated by the press having a vendetta that is pathological and out of control, but I agree with Noam Chomsky of what is going to happen.

But I will take it further. The Left’s temper tantrums and hubris is costing them election after election. The Right surge is happening precisely because the Left are trying to shame the world into believing their opinions to be reality, and they are not. Limousine liberals don’t know reality; so their bullshit looks ridiculous and so far off the mark that they end up looking like nerds and loons. The Right’s opinions are not reality, either, but people want to stick it to the Left for their insistence on being at the top of their pecking order to humble them.

So what you have is two groups of people trying to impose their will to rig things so they always win.

You also have Big Tech who is trying to play Big Brother with their fascist censorship garbage, known as GIFCT. However, this is not a sign of their gaining power, but that they are rapidly losing clout. The Internet is a shadow of its former self.

I am now finessing my books, but that is not focus-intensive. The research takes much more than the actual writing, but the resources online are not one tenth they were when I wrote my last book When Journalism was a Thing in 2017and that was not one hundredth of what it was when I was writing Don’t Believe It!: How lies become news and OutFoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s war on journalism…back in 2004.

That is breath-taking. Here you have all of these little propaganda mills begging for donations, and they have shit to offer. They are erasing their archives of old articles, and even library databases are a shadow of their former selves. That is not evolving, but regressing.

Wired thinks the censorship leaning of Big Tech should scare us, but I don’t agree. Big Tech is FUBAR. The Internet is a warehouse of garbage. Traditional journalism is fucked, too. What no one else has the courage to admit is that we now have conditioned people to think their beliefs are divine truth and reality. They no longer seek any information at all because they think they have all the answers with their uninformed folksy bullshit. When you have people try to indoctrinate you by thinking an unverified meme poster proves that they are right over the person with front line experience, expertise and exhaustive research, you know it is game over. Big Tech pandered to the point of shooting themselves in the foot. They are outsmarting themselves into oblivion.

GIFCT is a desperate push to salvage the Left, and it will not work. The Left are getting crushed on all sides and deservedly so. You cannot bribe people into supporting you because it is never enough and they always want more. Kathleen Wynne found that out the hard way. Doug Ford is shrewdly taking away the Ontario Left’s three veins: he slashed municipal seats so the cheap way of NDP and Liberal candidates to get media attention and incubate a voter base has been hobbled. He is setting the bar to sue the Ontario government so high so that he is now cutting off the narrative publicity and propaganda vein of misusing the courts to shame the government. Teachers and activists used this gambit too many times because they know they give the press an easy story where they can look sad in front of the camera and whine no matter how much money gets thrown at them. He takes this vein out, and they lose a “newsworthy” stunt to moral-shame the Tories. He is drastically slashing the public sector, and healthcare and education — the two collectives who still have good jobs and a strong union to throw tantrums and get away with it, are going to be broken. I will not be surprised if education doesn’t get privatized in some significant way so that teachers no longer pose a threat.

But that’s not the Right’s doing. That’s the Left always using the same gambits thinking the other side won’t notice and crack the code. Worse, if your prosperity hinges on working in the public sector where you think you have no risks and complete security, your world will collapse because you got cocky and slagged people who are being paid less and have to toil more, and they will remember your snooty attitude and get their revenge on you at the ballot. No amount of shaming and tantrums is going to save you when it’s personal.

Journalists cannot be trusted with seeing reality because they have the same blinders. They have been indoctrinated and march lockstep brainlessly not seeing that the side they picked are not actual thinkers with a moral compass. They are short-sighted and socialism is not going to save them because you need money to burn through and when you have leeches who just take and refuse to give, the black hole will swallow you up. Trying to brainwash people through shaming, narrative, or censorship isn’t going to work because all of these leftist governments are getting kicked out in droves, too, meaning it has the opposite effect.

Politico has always been propaganda garbage and sophistry, for instance. They puke propaganda, and the jealous sots are trying to smear the Intercept — which actually has factual value in a pathetic attempt to destroy anything that goes against their narrative. They should call this trash can Pollutico.

Here is a memo to you losers: the “Democratic civil war” as you misnamed it, isn’t fuelled by the Intercept but by a bunch of spoiled and manipulative rich psychopaths who want to control people and use a ruse of morality to do it, but since they have no clue what is moral, they have to fake it, and then the low-class antics get exposed.

Speaking of garbage that has been spawned from Pollutico, Julia Angwin’s pathetic attempt at starting a propaganda machine called the Markup resulted in her getting turfed before it even debuted. She got canned because her bullshit ideas on “data journalism" about technology — snake oil for the modern ages, kids — was nixed for flat-out propaganda and lobbying disguised as “advocacy.”

When you have rich liberal meddlers give you $23 million dollars, they want propaganda that pushes their interests. Not news. This was to be liberal propaganda to try to control Big Tech, nothing more. “Advocacy” is doublespeak for “partisan propagandistic lobbying”, nothing more. The Left have been co-opted by hucksters with raging egos whose con games all hinge on feeding those cancerous egos as they shame people into doing stupid things that will bleed them dry. This entire episode is a sad joke as the little parasites have jumped shipped. This is why journalism got destroyed, and then you have clueless egomaniacs such as Andrew Yang try to suck up to journalists saying he wants to save a dead profession so they’ll keep writing about him. Sure, right, likely story. Warren Buffet sees newspapers as toast? Dude, that ship has sailed years ago. The ashes have already been blown away.

But the propaganda is all over the place. We have the Canadian Liberal regime planning to use propaganda to suggest that white supremacists — who all conveniently come from Alberta, are going to pose a threat to the jittery middle class…so the natural conclusion is to keep voting for the rancid Grits. Nice try, but when Hillary Clinton tried that with her smart-ass deplorables comment, it cost the idiot the presidency. No wonder other Western nations think Canada is bonkers with their shrill and dire fake warnings.

But the Left are getting pummelled with their games. Doug Ford has realized where they are getting their money and is cutting them off at the knees. The Ontario Liberals figured out the best way to hide how weak the province was finding itself in was to give just enough money to the borderline poor to think they were Middle Class and just enough graft to the upper end Middle Class to think that they were rich. Have a nice and fat public sector making well over a six figure salary doing bullshit and give in to their demands with some fake resistance to make them feel big and powerful. Doug Ford didn’t get a single one of their votes, and then just pulled the rug out from under them. He is actually showing just how weak and precarious they were all along.

He has nothing to worry about. You can’t bribe people using other people’s money — they will always scream for more, while the people you are using to fund your racket will not tolerate it. It’s what destroyed the former Yugoslavia and every other socialist and communist regime. The Left have painted themselves in a corner because they keep going to extremist ideologies trying to be completely different than the Right, backstabbing innocent people when they cannot control and exploit them — and then trying to claim the people they betrayed as one of their own when things spiral out of control.

I am certain poor Julian Assange had no idea how badly he’d be used, exploited, betrayed, maligned, and vilified. Journalists treated him like the devil as they broke him before trying to exploit that same broken man as their puppet by now pretending they think he is a saint. Too late, assholes, you already locked in your answers in 2016.

He was hopelessly naive, however. He honestly believed that if he told the middle class how they were being manipulated, they would rise up as they became enlightened. He had no idea it is the middle class who set these rigs up, exploiting both the rich and the poor so they don’t have to do any of the dirty work themselves or actual have to take a risk and then look foolish if they were gasp! wrong or failed. Then they can pretend they are smarter, wiser, and more moral and interesting than anyone else as they pretend they are keeping their hands clean. Assange rubbed their noses in their reality, and they turned on him for rocking the boat. He had no clue and no chance.

If he wanted to change the world, he should have filmed middle class people feeding their kids for free with shitty Costco food samples and then bragging about the smartphone they bought on their Facebook pages, and then called them nerds. That would have started a motherfucking revolution.

Big Tech pandered to that same class telling them how rich and famous they’d become, and then everything exploded and got out of control, and now they are trying to put the demon back into Hell. No dice, let alone a paradise.

Big changes are coming, and for the Left, the shocks are just beginning. They are decaying faster than they should be decaying, and that always hints at some internal crisis because someone who did all the work and thinking for them either left or was underestimated and kicked to the curb or died.

And the middle class are quietly hedging their bets on the Right, while the National Post’s solution is to drug everyone with microdoses of LSD so that people are too stoned to care about the world collapsing around them (memo to you losers: emotional apathy is not a good thing to have: it means you have no sensitivity to your surroundings. It is a coward’s lazy escape).

I see the games of the sucker circus, and I still chronicle them. I am not naive like Assange, however. I register my observations, but I have my own reasons for it that have nothing to do with changing the world for others or doing their thinking for them. I’m not your mother.

By the way, remember when journalism had the courage to admit their faults and not puke bullshit about how great they are?

No?

Try this Atlantic article from 1996.

But that was when journalism still was a thing…

Poynter goes Nazi.

Those pretentious pricks who pretend to be journalists had the gall to have a blacklist of “unnews” outfits, all conveniently the ones not marching lockstep to the sanctioned ideology of the oppressive Orwellian mainstream press.

They caught shit for their Nazi-esque behaviour and took down the site.

Memo to Poynter: all of journalism is “unnews”. It is nothing but propaganda, and you showed your true disgusting colours.

Poynter is propaganda trying to indoctrinate the clueless Middle Class. It is pure garbage.

Yes, I am back, and I have a lot to say about a lot of things. My manuscripts are done, and while I still have pictures to take for my art book, the writing is completed, and I am just putting finishing touches on things, which doesn’t eat up my days or nights…

Working without end...a typical Alexandra Kitty work ethic.

Over halfway done now. It is almost 5:30 in the morning, and sleep is scarce for me when I write books. I do my best thinking and writing in the dark alone with just Alexandra Kitty and her raw thoughts.

When you write this late, you cannot focus on your wishful thinking and on your work. You see things as they are, not what you want them to be.

I would say I will be complete in less than two weeks. I want to wrap this up before my Oxford course starts, and before I teach my Kintsugi course. War propaganda is all about tearing people apart. Kintsugi is about putting broken pieces back together. My two great passions have come to me at once, and it is a blessing, but one where I am right now the soldier who is forging ahead without rest, hitting all of my targets.

Fourteen years ago today, OutFoxed: Rupert Murdoch's war on journalism was published.

Disinfo is no longer in business, but the book is still around.

of.jpg

As I am still toiling away, I would like to take a breather and point out some of the fuckery going on in the press.

Like this bullshit piece from Quartz:

A new Twitter account is outing shoddy reporting in science stories

You misogynistic motherfuckers, some white guy starts a Twitter feed, and you give him free publicity about showing shoddy reportage about science?

I wrote two books chronicling the same thing and showing how to spot it, and I did not get a mention.

Don’t Believe It!: How lies become news was published in March 2005 and I had an entire chapter on this problem.

When Journalism was a Thing also extensively went into this problem last year, and you ignored it.

The man posts five seconds on Twitter, and you drool and slobber all over his ass as if he did something original. Go fuck yourselves.

And speaking of fuckery, boy, someone with big boy pants must have taken over the propaganda arm of the federal Liberals.

The National Post are being dutiful little minions and are doing free propaganda for them:

'Inconsistent with democratic values': Internal conflict flared over Jody Wilson-Raybould's controversial last act as justice minister

An internal memo claims Crown lawyers were being overruled and told not to use certain defences to appear less adversarial toward Indigenous plaintiffs

Really? JWR was your pick, assholes. That was the culture of control you cultivated. She was well within the brand of political reasoning — and you wait until your little SNC-Lavalin scandal got this far away from you to try to take swipes at her?

You losers do realize the more you slag her, the worse you sound, right? You either mistreated her, which speaks poorly of your prime minister, or you picked and propped up a lemon for years, which speaks even more poorly of you. If you had class — which, by the way, you don’t — you would be better off copping to the former rather than the latter.

Do you idiots realize this has now gotten way, way bigger than two ousted female MPs? You are all going to get hit with a bigger scandal or three before October, and it won’t matter. It doesn’t even matter now. You all sound like vindictive spouses going through a divorce and come off as petty shits. Get a crisis management team and get over yourselves.

And as for the National Propaganda — stop being stenographers for the Man. No wonder you guys bleed money.

But it goes beyond the childish and psychopathically abusive nose-tweaking. The Grits are desperate and reek badly of it with their vast conspiracy theories of political interference being floated as a possible bogeyman for them to frighten the little people into voting for them.

Dumbasses, here is the memo: all countries meddle in the affairs of other countries. That is why Julian Assange had to be silenced by bribing the regime who gave him refuge with loans — who knows what drugs were given to the guy during his exile to discredit him, but WikiLeaks released information that showed the the “political interference” happened everywhere all the time, and the Left sound like Loopy Lous trying to make it sound as if meddling happened only with Trump, and we have people in the Liberal Party sound like paranoid potheads warning that other countries will meddle in our election.

Yeah, the way you stick your pointy little noses in theirs. Fuck you. For a group of blowhards who preach about globalization, why would this even bother you? Globalization precisely means the right to meddle in other countries’ affairs. That’s like wanting to fuck everybody and still be a virgin. Morons.

One last observation: Peter Mackay’s column in the Toronto Sun seems to have a very sly, but nasty jab to Justin Trudeau:

No one is fooled by the crafted image, stage-managed appearances, bold bromides, soaring rhetoric and flashy wardrobe; the stuff of an Old Spice commercial spoofing itself for effect.

The Old Spice reference doesn’t fit — unless you recall that Matthew Perry’s stepdad was the Old Spice guy in commercials…and that Perry boasted in public how he used to beat up Trudeau in school when they were kids.

Trudeau could never compete with Perry in the acting sphere, so go show up the guy in politics where you are completely unqualified. Take that, Matthew Perry!

That’s all for now. I am averaging a chapter a day, and I am picking up speed. Propaganda-busting gets my juices flowing. I could never stand liars because they are arrogant cowards to the core.

Ciao!

xoxo.

An update...and laughing at the deluded trash the Spec is passing off as "journalism"...

I am still alive, conscious, and coherent!

One book manuscript is done, and I am taking photographs for it. The other book is over a quarter done, and should be done in a couple of weeks.

After that, I will need a bit of a rest and recalibration.

Lots of garbage passing off as journalism and politics, but most have not compelled me to break my hiatus.

I came across this two-part knee-slapper about the murder of a Dundas couple from the Hamilton Spectator and it is pure delusional and arrogant bullshit.

It is typical of journalistic stenography when Establishment types who want to intimidate a target — regardless of innocence or guilt — by using a media campaign against them. Journalists, like good little puppets, always comply.

When my family sued the city after what paramedics did to my grandmother, all of a sudden, our case was slapped on the front page, even though it was not actually newsworthy. There were and are other cases of paramedics being sued in Ontario (I know because I went down to the courthouse to have a look) and for the exception of one, most never made news.

But the Spec drooled over the stronger and wealthier side, of course, meaning City Hall. Our lawyer advised us not to talk to the paper, but I wouldn’t have anyway. I know who these people are because I wrote a column for them and saw everything up close. The paper quoted one source who also went on to defend some shady criminal characters as well, which I have written about here previously.

The reporter pretty much got everything wrong, of course. The article did nothing but rely on authorities and parrot them brainlessly. It was free advertising about how grand, glorious and hard-working paramedics are, as if we were lazy do-nothings.

No, assholes, we were working 24/7 looking after a woman whose catastrophic injuries made her completely disabled and bed-ridden. They are just paramedics, not saints. They also have cushy government jobs and often make the Sunshine List. My mother and I weren’t living it up changing my grandmother’s diapers and feeding her because she could not feed herself. She was a prisoner in her own body, but fully alert and aware.

My mother was upset by the coverage. I knew what the city’s gambit was, and also knew that the Spec cannot give away their newspapers; so I took it in stride.

But my mother, months later, got in touch with the reporter and gave her side and wanted to show the results of what happened to us. Needless to say, they never bothered with a follow-up.

We weren’t the Man, after all.

So back to the articles of pure trash about the Dundas double homicide.

This passage is pure deceptive doublespeak and arrogance:

In recreating the night of the fire that killed Alan and Carla Rutherford, the search for a suspect in their deaths and the ripple effects the fire and the killings had on others, the Hamilton Spectator spent months speaking to multiple sources with knowledge of the family and the case, along with experts.

Some sources are confidential because they fear reprisal.

The Spectator independently verified all details.

The Spectator has also examined public financial, property, court and employment records and sifted through social media posts.

No, you didn’t. How are you exactly qualified to “independently verify” it? Are you trained or licensed? What empirical methods did you use? Are you police? Forensic psychiatrists?

No?

The fact that you needed to puke that passage out tells me everything I need to know. This is a ruse to sound as if you did something different and were authorities whose word meant something, and it doesn’t. This is a manipulative tactic and a feint, nothing more.

And how did you define “independently verify”? Talk to a second cop? Read a press release? That is an empty, garbage term. I do not recall you doing that when discussing what happened to my grandmother.

Did you see the photographic evidence we had? Did you read the hospital reports or spoke to experts on the matter?

Nope. You interviewed irrelevant parties who had no knowledge or expertise on the matter. They were there as cheerleaders to the men who dropped my grandmother, and you never once independently verified a thing.

But the faux authoritative babble of the Rutherford murder is cringeworthy. You looked at social media posts? Any motherfucker can do that. That is not an actual thing.

The purpose of articles such as this one is simple: put the pressure on the target, in this case the man arrested for the murders. You try to taint public perceptions in a bid to isolate that person and make them do what you want them to do. It is a strong arm psychological siege and the press always dutifully complies. You will always notice that everything is from the perspective of the Authority’s narrative, not the facts, and certainly nothing presented that ever refutes the theory.

The Spec is not an actual investigative body. It is just a few writers who suck up to police or government sources and then puke out whatever will make the source happy. When it is criminals involved, most people don’t care, but they should because this practice is deceptive and makes the press sound as if they are something they are not or have any business of being: Authorities who determine what narrative is socially acceptable.

I can talk about the glaring flaws and holes of both those articles, but I won’t. I will save those inconsistencies for another day, and even another book. The Spec cut my pay check in the 1990s. I wrote about them for Presstime in the early aughts. My family was traumatized by them a few years ago when they kicked an old, diasbled woman as she lay dying. I know who these people are and they do not impress me or have one grain of my respect.

I do not buy their self-serving decrees. It is a ruse, and one that is easily deconstructed. Real experts frown on using journalistic sources for a reason.

20190406_135708.jpg

I feel sympathy for Julian Assange, however. He was sheltered and naive in thinking the Middle Class would rise up against the psychopathic tyrants who manipulate and control them if he just exposed their slave masters.

That’s not how the middle class roll. You are telling them that they made a mistake and are defectively unenviable, and in that, they will never forgive him.

At least he understood what journalism should have been. This is not an assault on journalism because journalism never was as honest, organic, or brave as WikiLeaks, but the Guardian is trying to make a false comparison as self-serving vultures always try to do. WikiLeaks certainly isn’t the low-class garbage the Spec pukes and then pretends is real. I am writing about Assange in my latest manuscript; so it is the reason I am not mentioning anything here.

I am off again to go back to writing about war propaganda. It is a very depressing subject to tackle, especially when I am writing about it in the dark all by myself at 3 o’clock in the morning, but I am writing it from both ends to keep a positive balance. Sure, things are broken, but broken can be repaired to be better than new.

Life is meant to be Kintsugi, and it is an art that sings beautiful love songs to me; and I am grateful.

Til then…

Truth, Explained, Arc II: Duality? What does that really mean?

No transcript this for this podcast.

20190311_214346.jpg

I am now officially off this web site until further notice, namely, finishing my books.

Until then, here is a tune from The Hives…

tedandthehivesbm0.gif

Update: Someone I adore just asked me about the federal Grits and their loser strategies.

Okay…

Justin Trudeau seems to take big motherfucking pages from Hillary Clinton’s playbook of being incapable of dealing with both internal and external problems.

The Girts are stupid in wanting to kick out Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott because they are being egged to do so. Go for it. See what happens, assholes. That is the plan. We now have an audio recording. There will be more to come. The Grits are imploding.

And looking for more “retaliatory” measures against the behemoth economic juggernaut the US. To do what? Have more factories close in Canada? We are already in a recession. Are you dumbfucks that stupid? Are you out of your brain cell? You have no cards to play. What’s wrong with you?

There will be more political fuckery from the Trudeau regime, but don’t ask me about it. I just finished making a photo light box to take pictures. I am swamped, swamped, swamped. When I come back, I will tear every regime imaginable into tiny pieces with my wit for your amusements, but right now — Kintsugi and war propaganda await me!

Ciao! xoxo.

An Update: I need to take a hiatus.

I have just gotten another book contract to write an academic text about war propaganda. I have wanted to write this book for many years, but it finally came together. I have my Kintsugi book to finish in a short time as well, an Oxford art course to take and a Kintsugi course to teach.

What that means is I will have to suspend this web site for the foreseeable future — until I finish everything I need to do, which is a lot.

That means Chaser stories are put on hold. One of the stories on war propaganda will be in the upcoming book instead, and will no longer be Arc II. My story on Postmedia is on hold until I hand in my manuscripts. When I come back, that will be the next entry here, aside from my usual musings about coming back, but this absolutely changes how I will do Chaser.

Truth, Explained will have its second episode this week, but that’s about all I can do. So expect one more entry tomorrow.

No Cavewoman Graffiti. No expanding the List of People Everyone Should Know. No Dangerous Woman fiction. No writing about journalism and modern combat strategies. No musing on Quora. I am so swamped that I am overjoyed, but what I do takes unbelievable focus and I write books worth of items here — so now it will be in book form.

Things are picking up for me on this end. I have my Kintsugi photographs that I have to take for the book as well — as well as finish the rest of the book. That takes me into April, but then I will be writing nonstop and I have to schedule my art courses — both as student and teacher into all of it.

I have written two books in one year before, but not at the same time. These are both books I have wanted to do for a very long time, and now I get to do them.

For regular readers, I thank you very much for coming here. I will be back, more eccentric than ever. I still have F.R.E.E.D. to place, however, and I have plans to do something else.

If you like my style and want to read other things that I have written, if you can download many A Dangerous Woman offerings from Kindle — or Kobo. I have plenty of offerings there, fiction and nonfiction. I have my Ello page and my Quora page as well, but those two are on hiatus.

So, there will be a podcast tomorrow, but I am going to keep this site up with no changes or updates. It is not a matter of energy or me not having enough to say (ha!), but I have to focus on things that require research and precision, and when I am in that zone, I am a very different person. I never realized that until I gave a book talk to a group and the hostess who is a dear friend told the group all about my behaviour while I was writing the book. She did a very good impersonation of me, too.

Even my theremin playing will have to be put aside. I do have tickets for one play at the Shaw. That’s about it.

When I come back here, it will be me very unleashed…

Journalists do not have to be "used" to get a scoop: it's just the lazy way of doing things.

I find this commentary interesting:

Reporters are 'used' all the time. That's the way it works: Neil Macdonald

Hogwash. Reporters do not have to allow themselves to be “used.” It’s like saying wives get beaten all the time. That’s the way it works.

But this is also interesting:

Leaks a sign news media is doing its job

No, it’s not. It is a sign of the opposite: that they are passively working as stenographers parroting whatever they are being told, and usually it isn’t worth very much at all.

What leakers do is gossip, and not give facts, but narrative. There is a huge difference. With the “leak” in question: it was to smear Jody Wilson-Raybould with some bullshit about how she and the prime minister disagreed on one of her suggestions, and that he didn’t like it because he was more exacting than she was, and blah blah blah.

It was an attempt at misdirection, and it backfired. This is how divorcing couples trash talk each other in public, as if anyone cares. Trying to justify why you are a bottom feeder sounds as unconvincing as the prime minister trying to make Wilson-Raybould sound like a bad guy.

Not working…

Investing in Al Capone's Vault: Betting against Trump does have its price.

Banking on Robert Mueller unearthing dirt on Donald Trump was the way many talentless hacks got a lot of attention. They leeched off the president’s abrasiveness, hoping a bad disposition would automatically mean that he is a villain.

gardner-feature.jpg

Guy Gardner is still one of my favourite superheroes, even if in his heyday he was a sexist jerk who really liked Ronald Reagan and earned the punch in the face Batman gave him..

Adulting would be a very good idea right about now, and people creating jobs for themselves based on something other than dining on hoping someone would get caught.

It is the reason why progress is so slow: everything becomes a slap fight, and people become bullies. I never cared for the brutes of the Fox News Channel, but MSNBC and CNN are no better.

And it is a crying shame…

Governments and Corporations try to exploit journalism...but a collapsed profession isn't going to line their little coffers.

Apple is trying to do it, but legacy media aren’t biting the way they once did. For once, I agree with them. It is just another asset-squeezer making big promises and delivering nothing. Let Apple make its own content for once.

The European Parliament wants a link tax. Fuck them. They will be shocked at how little money they will get — and Big Tech may not like the decision, but Europe can be easily bypassed and there are ways around this gambit. If Big Tech skirts around the tax by isolating Europe, the world will go on easily without reading the Guardian, for instance. A link tax is a very bad idea, and the legacy media in Europe are being blinded by their aristocratic arrogance and assumption that the old feudal systems of yore will work. Their bullshit is not essential reading, and stories can be farmed out.

It is a lazy effort, and those kinds never bring in the dough — or the innovations…

Whoppers from the field: J-Talks are self-serving narratives, nothing more.

Fallout from the Field? Nice try.

Screen Shot 2019-03-26 at 4.27.54 PM.png

Another bullshit J-Talk which is nothing more than journalistic propaganda spewed to try to save a dead profession. It is as honest as a US reporter’s “scoop” on Russiagate, though I doubt the Toronto Star’s Daniel Dale is keeping a list of all the lies his fellow journalists told about that.

No chance of that happening.

Or of this talk being anything else but a self-aggrandizing farce.

This is not to say that journalists who covered wars before were more thespian than scribe. Daniel Pearl was a real war correspondent who died on the job. So did my favourite war photographer Dickey Chapelle.

Huet,_Chapelle.jpg

That’s her receiving last rites as she was fatally wounded on the job.

But slowly over time, that changed.

And the poseurs took over.

The PR firms hired to manage the optics in the civil was in the former Yugoslavia set up white tents and handed out press releases.

I seriously doubt that caused any PTSD.

And during the upheavals in Syria, one CBC journalist had the nerve to pretend her and her crew were under siege, all whispering “shh!” in the dark all while they had huge lights on them.

Yeah, the snipers are blind, but have super-hearing. Fuck you, you shitty fibbers. What’s up with that?

And you know this is a big bullshit story.

How so?

Have you noticed that none of these motherfuckers cover gang violence or human trafficking or the South American drug cartels.

So, you will cover the superlative dangerous wars, but not drugs, traffickers, or gangs?

Uh-huh.

It is a real knee-slapper because you know there are no public relations firms setting up white tents to hand out canned advertising disguised as news; so you know it’s a big, fat lie.

If you fall for any of it, you are a so naive...

There are companies paying people to scrub Wikipedia? You don't say!

No shit, Sherlock:

Facebook, Axios And NBC Paid This Guy To Whitewash Wikipedia Pages

And it almost always works.

Wikipedia has no standards. They are horrid, and they have no trouble giving slanderous labels to people citing evidence that supports what they say. They have labelled people genocide deniers when multiple official reports have stated there were war crimes, but no genocide (something I will discuss in another post when I am ready).

So on the one hand, they make certain people look like evil loons, and you have others who pay to manage their Wiki page, which they have made a big stink that they don’t allow that to happen. Bullshit.

Of course it happens. Most of the entries read like press releases, meaning it is rife with all sort of propaganda, from celebrity propaganda to war propaganda. It is a vile website, and yet people read that and Snopes, and then think they know something.

No, you don’t. You know fuck all.

And as there are no standards whatsoever, and a million loopholes, you have a false sense of security, nothing more…

How the federal Liberals are handing the Tories a campaign hook.

I

39295620090_fa2bb341c8_o.jpg

II

When Donald Trump ran for president, he had his mantra aside from Make America Great Again.

Lock her up.

And Clinton made that fairly easy for her rival to use that hook to radicalize his base.

But the federal Liberals are making that hook for their rivals.

This commentary has got it all wrong:

ANALYSIS: Biggest peril for Team Trudeau is that Liberals are at war with each other

No, the biggest peril is for a rival to campaign on a promise to open an investigation into SNC-Lavalin if he is elected. Lock him up.

The Tories or NDP can promise to open up what the Liberals keep shutting down. The Grits are leaking everything else but won’t be open about their SNC-Lavalin fuckery.

This election can get very nasty very fast, the more the Grits try to contain it, the more people will want to open that vault of sins to see what’s so exciting in there, giving the Tories the perfect hook to set off their first grenade…

You will never be in the driver's seat unless you are willing to grab the wheel and steer it yourself.

III

When I was a kid, I loved that ride, but only on one condition.

I got to sit up in front steering the bus.

Alone.

The bigger and older boys all hogged that seat until I strutted up, grabbed them, and threw them out, and got in there myself.

Boys more than twice my age and size would literally go flying out, while I daintily got in, grabbed the wheel, and giggled.

My mother was mortified, but my grandfather cheered me on, telling all the offended moms of flung out boys that it was his granddaughter who owned those boys’ backsides.

And he didn’t exactly speak English. He knew enough to tell them that — and negotiate and barter at any store, driving down the price.

My grandfather taught me many valuable lessons, and one of them was that if you want to be in the driver’s seat, you better be willing for some rough and tumble, but be sure to grab the steering wheel.

That involves strategy and risk.

But also a plan.

If you are not focussed on your goal, and if you do not believe in yourself, you will always choke and never grab the wheel.

Forget the brass ring.

Get the wheel and drive to your goal.

And when you control the wheel, you have full say in the direction that you are going.

You keep your promise to yourself and you travel up news paths, and straight into the eye of the storm.

No guts, no glory.

You do not nag other people who have control of the wheel of your ride.

You have a lot of women who don’t grasp this Truth.

a09b85e0a9383cf473e63bc6ffc2794e.jpg

Here is an idea: put down the sign.

It will not get you anywhere.

And if you have held placards for decades, you are doing something wrong.

That is not a steering wheel.

You are nagging the driver.

Stop nagging the driver.

The one who has the wheel drives. The end.

When I was a kid, I did not ask for permission. I did not ask for approval. I did not seek validation for my choice. Mom would have said no, that’s rude.

And I would have never gotten to be the seat that made me the happiest as everyone else did.

All the boys who had age and height and girth over me.

She was not happy with my choice. I was tickled pink.

But she didn’t punish me. She took me there repeatedly and she took pictures.

Because she knew who I was as a human being.

20190209_210112.jpg

I had every right to that place because I fought for it based on my own instincts.

I didn’t hold a placard whining that the big boys were hogging that seat for themselves.

That’s what feminism has fallen to in 2019.

Because middle class women lost their instincts and thought a woman who ran for president was feminist.

Hillary Clinton was never a feminist.

Opportunist, yes. Ambitious, yes.

But not feminist.

She never corrected her past errors. She snatched defeat from the jaws of victory — in essence, her campaign made it amply clear that she had to focus of destination, and hence, could not actually grab the steering wheel when it counted the most because she build her house of cards on a lie.

She hesitated.

And then, made up the worst excuses in the history of presidential races: she blamed Russia (external) and James Comey (internal).

As if those two things would not be daily problems for any president.

If you cannot manage the external and internal, you don’t deserve the steering wheel at all.

But what she did was set back feminism and greatly discredited the US left version of it because women bought into her propaganda about the Russians being responsible for her defeat.

Okay, if the Russians could take her out that easily, then what do you imagine her abilities to be if she were president and twenty countries go after the country?

She can’t handle one, according to her convoluted bullshit narrative.

It wasn’t just journalists who banked on Robert Mueller finding collusion. It wasn’t just Democrats who have no actual original ideas or policy except for spending borrowed money.

It was US feminists who bought the lie.

And now they are left with a stunning defeat.

You wasted all of this time and resources nagging and holding placards instead of steering wheels, and you have scribbled paper to show for your efforts.

No amount of offended posturing and chest-thumping is going to alter that reality.

Because nobody with a brain is going to give one flying fuck to your excuses and denials.

You backed a turkey. Her bullshit story cost you goodwill and credibility. The end.

Donald Trump won because he flung out Clinton from that front seat.

He earned it. He jumped into the eye of the storm and he won fair and square.

The moment he announced his candidacy, I knew he would win and Clinton would lose.

I know determination when I see it.

If women want change, they have to change themselves.

They have to change.

They have to confront truths and reality that do not involved any self-serving patriarchal Mary Sue bullshit narrative.

Don’t tell me how you hold paper with scribbles on it. Show me how you handle your ride.

If any American understands the Hero’s Journey and its every nuance, it is Donald J. Trump. I would never begrudge him that. He is not crazy. He is not evil. He is self-indulgent. He is a brilliant strategist. He lives life to the fullest.

I do not ascribe to his politics.

He never asks permission to live his life. Women should study him and learn what it means to drive.

You could also ask me.

I have been doing that since I was a kid.

It was child’s play.

It is still child’s play to me.

And unless your hands are holding a steering wheel, you have zero say in where you are going or when…

So, do the New York Times and the Washington Post have to give back their Pulitzers?

I

Screen Shot 2019-03-25 at 9.29.16 PM.png

II

I was reminded today that the New York Times has more than just Trump issues: they, along with the Washington Post, won a Pulitzer in 2018 for their now proven bogus coverage of “Russiagate.”

Do they have to give it back like the Post had to for Jimmy’s World?

When the US President says it is "fake news”, we can now see there is a good and valid reason for it.

I wonder how many people who were dining and banking on Mueller enabling their vindictive tendencies could have survived that kind of pressure? I doubt any of them.

How many real stories have been ignored as a result of this stupid fixation?

How many hacks got awards for spewing propaganda?

When something horrific explodes, and we discover it began during this era, you know who to blame for the neglect…
